No, and this isn't one. You've already picked your curriculum — this works alongside whatever you're using. The strategies apply to any book or passage you put in front of your child, so nothing needs to be swapped out or scheduled around. Homeschooling families tend to get the most out of it, since the design is oriented toward a child working independently.
Yes — and I built it with them in mind. I'm a special education teacher, so the design choices come from that work: sentence starters so a child isn't staring at a blank line, room to move at their own pace, and the same strategies repeated across pages so they get real practice instead of one exposure and done. Nothing here is timed, graded, or set up to make a child feel behind. It's a resource they can return to as many times as they need.
No. These strategies help a struggling reader stop freezing, and they help a strong reader go deeper. The difference is what they do with them.
No — that's the whole point. The strategies work with any book, article, or passage your child is already reading. A library book, a chapter book from home, a reading passage from school, a magazine on the kitchen table. Nothing extra to buy, nothing specific to hunt down.
It's built for grades 3 through 6. That said, plenty of kids outside that range get real use out of it. Astrong second grader who's already reading chapter books can absolutely grow into it, and a 7th or 8th grader who never got those strategies will find them just as useful. If your child is reading books and being asked questions about what they read, this fits.
Yes - because it isn't one more thing on your plate. There's nothing for you to teach, print, or sit down and do with them. Everything your child needs is printed inside, so they can use it on their own while you're making dinner or answering emails. That's the point: they stop needing you in the room. (Even the games can be played solo!)
No. There's no assignment, no log to sign, nothing due. Your child uses the strategies at their own pace.
Wide-ruled pages, reading strategies, reference charts, and goal trackers, across 200+ pages.
All sales are final. Every order includes digital resources that are delivered the moment you purchase, and the physical sets are personalized before they ship, so we're not able to accept returns or exchanges. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, reach out and we'll make it right.
